Leah DeVon

Superlatives are inadequate to describe the versatile unique sound of Leah DeVon.

With a clean, melodic sound and the ability to straddle seemingly opposite worlds, Leah stands poised to become one of the most popular commercial female POP R&B singers.

A native of Florida, the singer/songwriter moved to Atlanta to turn her dream into a reality.  Leah has opened for musical acts Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Pieces of a Dream, Dave Hollister, Keith Washington and Destiny’s Child.

She also performed on the Levis 1st stage as one of the opening acts for the Backstreet Boys and headlined at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando Florida. Leah had the privilege to record a duet with legendary music producer Kashif (Whitney Houston, Kenny G and Dionne Warwick).

Her musical influences include R&B balladeer Brian McKnight, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Nancy Wilson and songwriter Dianne Warren.

In 2002, Leah co- wrote and recorded “The Victory Is Mine” for Mary Kay Cosmetics; Inc. Top National Sales Director Pamela Shaw booked Leah nationally to perform for the company.  As Ms. Shaw stated “A song like this catches on.  It is used at our workshops.  Word spreads through our voice mail that hits some 9000 people a day. It also spreads through our e-mail, which travels endlessly! The song has already been embraced by a large audience in the Mary Kay world but the potential for it is huge.”

In 2005, Leah went into the studio to record her debut album. "It’s been a long process but I’m so proud of the record. I’ve been given the opportunity to write an album that is reflective of me. Through my journeys I’ve had the great privilege to meet and record with some amazing producers; who so generously have given me their time and shared their talent. It all comes down to timing in this industry, and I believe that this is my time.”

Leah now invites the world to “Come Over” (the title of her new CD).

I just bought Leah's Cd on cdbaby. I didn't know who whe was but after listening to the sound clips, I decided to buy it. I think she is a breath of fresh air. She is like a Chante Moore/Toni Braxton. Way to go Leah. You have a new fan in New York.
