Guitar Center Music Foundation Event at Ford Amphitheatre Hollywood
HOTTEST SINGER/SONGWRITERS TAKE TO THE MAJOR STAGE AT THE FORD AMPHITHEATRE, HOLLYWOOD ON AUGUST 10th, 2008 TO BENEFIT THE GUITAR CENTER MUSIC FOUNDATION AND MSFRIENDS
[Vegas Buzz News Network] Hollywood, CA, August 10, 2008 — Koffeehouse Music Productions, LLC ( koffeehouse.com ), known for creating live outdoor performance stages for some of the best Indie and emerging singer/songwriters around announced it is producing a charity music festival on August 10th, 2008, at the magical 1200-seat Ford Amphitheater in Los Angeles, to benefit The Guitar Center Music Foundation and MSFriends. The event, entitled “An Evening of Independence: A Celebration of Singers, Songwriters and Music!” will showcase some of the hottest emerging singer/songwriters and new bands. General admission tickets are now available for $25 at www.fordtheatres.org or by calling the Ford Box Office at 323.461.3673. A limited number of VIP seats for $100 are available by calling the box office only. The Ford Amphitheatre is located at 2580 Cahuenga Boulevard East, Hollywood, CA 90068 (across the 101 freeway from the Hollywood Bowl).
“An Evening of Independence”, now in its second year at the Ford Amphitheatre, will feature 10 immensely talented performers, including Virgin recording artist A Fine Frenzy ( myspace.com/afinefrenzy ), Jon Foreman (myspace.com/jonforeman), Interscope recording artist Kina Grannis (myspace.com/kinagrannis), White Balloon recording artist Trevor Hall ( myspace.com/trevorhall ), Ironworks recording artist HoneyHoney (myspace.com/honeyhoneyband), Universal/Motown recording artist MoZella (myspace.com/mozella), Matt Scannell (myspace.com/mattscannell), CBS recording artist Keaton Simons (myspace.com/keatonsimons), Atlantic recording artist Ryan Star (myspace.com/rstar), and Universal Republic recording artist Tyrone Wells (myspace.com/tyronewells), . The all-ages festival will begin at 5:30 pm with a pre-show in the Ford entryway , followed by the main show beginning at 7:30 pm. The evening, produced by Koffeehouse Music Productions LLC, will benefit two non-profit organizations: The Guitar Center Music Foundation and MSFriends.

About the Ford Theatre: The Ford Amphitheatre is located at 2580 Cahuenga Blvd. East, Hollywood, CA 90068, just off the 101 Hollywood Freeway across from the Hollywood Bowl and south of Universal Studios. The grounds open two hours before show time for picnicking. The Ford offers a number of dining options: a variety of food and beverages is available on site and box dinners for evening events may be ordered in advance. Patrons are welcome to bring their own food and drink. The Ford is disabled accessible. Portable wireless listening devices are available upon request. On-site, stacked parking costs $5 per vehicle for evening shows and $1 per vehicle for morning family shows. For evening shows only, FREE non-stacked parking serviced by a FREE shuttle to the Ford, for evening amphitheatre performances only, is available at the Universal City Metro Station lot at Lankershim Blvd. and Campo de Cahuenga. The shuttle, which cycles every 15-20 minutes, stops in the "kiss and ride" area.
