Twelve aliens suddenly materialized from a wall of space fog as they invaded the Las Vegas Monorail today. Klingon Lieutenant Commander Voq'ha announced that the delegation of Klingons, Vulcans, Borgs, Romulans, Ferengi, and Andorians would ride the Las Vegas Monorail each day until the end of the year. As they visit Earth, on an intergalactic reconnaissance mission, they will interact with the tens of thousands of Las Vegas visitors who ride the monorail every day. Star Trek Alien Borg 3-of-6, interacted with riders of the Las Vegas Monorail today. His "assimilation" is part of daily entertainment that will take place on the public transit system until the end of the year. 3-of-6 was joined by eleven other intergalactic aliens in a dramatic invasion ceremony on the Las Vegas Hilton monorail station. LAS VEGAS--(VEGAS BUZZ NEWS)--Sept. 22, 2005--A delegation of 12 intergalactic aliens suddenly appeared from a wall of fog that engulfed the monorail station at the Las Vegas Hilton this morning.

"From the farthest reaches of the universe we have watched the Las Vegas Monorail operate flawlessly since the Earth month of January," proclaimed Lieutenant Commander Voq'ha, a member of the Klingon Security Contingency on the Star Trek: The Experience Time Station. "We consider this invasion a peaceful reconnaissance mission and plan to learn more about the monorail which we have identified as the most technologically advanced public-transit system in the Milky Way galaxy."

"It is an unprecedented honor to welcome this prestigious delegation to Earth," said Curtis Myles, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Monorail Co. "We intend to openly share our public-transit technologies with Lieutenant Commander Voq'ha and the other delegates, and we will communicate with them as necessary during their three-month mission."

Immediately following a short presentation by Lieutenant Commander Voq'ha, Myles and members of the Las Vegas Monorail Co. board of directors gave a personal tour of the monorail to the VIAs (very important aliens).

From Sept. 22 to Dec. 22, 2005, members of the alien delegation will ride the Las Vegas Monorail five days per week from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Earthling riders of the Las Vegas Monorail will be encouraged by monorail security guards to interact with the aliens who will ride the monorail train that has been imaged by Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton.

"In anticipation of this momentous occasion, last year we imaged the interior and exterior of one monorail train in a Star Trek theme to make the VIAs feel more comfortable during a mission to Earth," said Jerry Helms, vice president, Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. "We're confident this environment will be conducive to their research and also create an exciting and entertaining experience for the millions of people who ride the Las Vegas Monorail."
