The 2008 Vegas Buzz Halloween award goes to this group, sighted at the Jack in the Box at Lake Mead and Buffalo in the Von's Shopping Center.

First Prize: "Fast Food, Fast Friends" (Teens Category)

When asked why they didn't all dress up like Jack, they said "We didn't want to assimilate."

One of the cuter vampires we've seen. We still didn't want to get too close, though...!

Background: State-of-the-art vampire's lair, with all the latest accoutrements for the undead including high-speed Internet and turbo-charged PC, dimly lit by candlelight.

Contest Rules: Contest is open to residents of Las Vegas and Henderson, from 2 - 90 years of age. Entries are judged on the basis of originality, creativity, popular interest and familiarity of theme and the additional element of unexpectedness. Sure we expect skeletons, ghosts, goblins and vampires, but there's more to it than that. Be creative, even with the tried-and-true. Register early for next year's contest!
